The new Tranquility Lodge is a very private open plan lodge nestled amongst the trees and overhanging a small stream on the farm. Perched some 8 metres off the ground it is a true modern day tree house. The outside shower is suspended off the front of the lodge and is wrapped by the branches of the fig tree. The deck has a 2 seater outdoor set where meals can be taken in the company of the birds that reside in the massive trees. The double Jacuzzi bath with several settings and hand shower has views of the surrounding bush and although curtains are provided the privacy allows for a romantic open air bath. The fitted kitchen is fully equipped with 4 plate stove/oven, microwave, and large fridge/freezer. The lounge area has 2 armchairs and coffee table with a large selection of books and magazines, a beautiful close combustion fireplace warms the entire unit during the cool weather. The queen sized bed (with electric blanket in winter) is surrounded by glass doors and although there are curtains the sensation of sleeping within the trees but shielded from the elements is an experience not to be missed. At the back of the unit a private plunge pool and braai area with railway sleeper table and chairs offer more of the typical South African outdoor experience. Guests have access to the beautiful hiking routes through the Magaliesburg Mountains, one of the oldest Mountain ranges in the world. Load shedding is not a problem as a standby generator is installed.
